Lucy was a wild woman who walked among the trees run along the savannahs. If she was still alive she would be 3.2 million years old.
Although there were not any famous people like Michael Jackson, Madonna or Katy Perry in her time, she has became very famous 3.2 million years after her death.

It includes study of fossils in order to determine organisms' evolutions, behaviours and interactions with environment and each other. Paleontologiests need fossils for correct determination and it is usually hard to find complete or in high percantage fossils of one organism.
Until the Lucy's discover in 1974 there was not any bipedal skeleton which is in high percentage. Lucy open the door through to her age with his %40 percantage of skeleton. She was bipedal and had a small skull and this shows evidence of small skull capacity akin to that of apes and of bipedal upright walk akin to that of humans, supporting the debated view that bipedalism preceded increase in brain size in human evolution.
